What it is
The Tokai Love Rock series is Tokai’s interpretation of the Gibson Les Paul. Introduced during the late 1970s, these guitars were part of the broader wave of Japanese instruments inspired by classic American designs.
As with Tokai’s Springy Sound Strat-style guitars, the company approached the Love Rock with an emphasis on faithful recreation of vintage specifications. Many models followed the traditional Les Paul formula: mahogany body, maple cap, set neck, dual humbuckers, and traditional hardware.
